Frequently Asked Questions for RR Academy Families

Everything you need before booking your first free consultation and choosing the right tutoring pathway.

General & Enrolment

We provide tuition for students in Key Stage 2 (KS2) – Years 3 to 6 (Ages 7–11) and Key Stage 3 (KS3) – Years 7 to 9 (Ages 11–14). Our lessons follow the UK National Curriculum and are tailored to each student's individual learning needs.

  2. We will discuss your child's learning needs and answer any questions you may have.
  3. We will arrange a free initial assessment.
  4. Once you are happy to proceed, we will schedule your child's lessons.
  5. A one-time £20 registration fee is required to confirm your child's enrolment.

Yes. Every new student is offered a free initial assessment before starting lessons. The assessment helps us understand your child's current academic level, strengths and areas for improvement so we can create a personalised learning plan and match them with the most suitable tutor. The initial assessment is for academic evaluation only and does not affect your child's enrolment. It is not an entrance test, and every student is welcome to join RR Tutoring Academy regardless of the assessment outcome.

Tutors & Teaching

Yes. All tutors go through our recruitment and safeguarding process before joining RR Tutoring Academy. Where required, tutors hold relevant qualifications, relevant teaching or tutoring experience, and Enhanced DBS checks.

We currently offer tuition in Mathematics, English, Science and Computer Science for KS2 and KS3 students.

Our lessons are personalised to each student's needs. We focus on building strong understanding of key concepts, improving confidence and independent learning, regular practice with constructive feedback, and supporting steady academic progress. Our aim is to create engaging, supportive lessons that help every student reach their full potential.

Fees & Payments

Our tuition fees vary depending on the subject and lesson type. Please contact us for our latest pricing or check the pricing on the website. A one-time £20 registration fee applies when enrolling to cover student registration and administration.

Payments are made securely online. An invoice or payment confirmation will be provided after payment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice may still be charged.

We currently offer online tuition.

Most lessons are 60 minutes long. Longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate.

Yes. We regularly update parents on their child's progress, achievements and any areas where additional support may be beneficial.

We carefully match tutors to students based on their year group, subject requirements, learning goals and individual needs to provide the best possible learning experience.
